Installation wasn’t too bad, pulling the original display off the phone was the biggest pain and removing old adhesive tape; take your time. I’m pretty disappointed in the display itself. Doesn’t come close to the original OLED as the color doesn’t come close and much less sharp imagine. However, I can tell you that this screen protector is extremely thin, has no tint, and fits an iPhone 12 perfectly. The tool kit is super comprehensive and easy to use. It is a tough job to install and it takes a lot of precision, but if you are determined to do it on your own, it is certainly possible and made easier by the step-by-step directions that it comes with. There are also ample YouTube tutorials that can walk you through the steps. The screen itself claims to be waterproof and so far, it has lived up to its advertising. I have taken it in the shower and there is no malfunction or water damage to the phone or screen. The waterproof tape is a huge help, even just knowing it is there provides peace of mind.The screen display is noticeably brighter than before. It also adds a ton of contrast which makes it look better compared to the dull screen of other iPhones. When compared to my friend’s phone, he noticed that mine looked a lot newer and “more advanced” because of this simple upgrade. Because the screen cover is thin, it is not immediately noticeable that it is even on there. Unfortunately, I think there are too many potential risks for installing this on your own. The repair process is as done by following iFix tutorial. The repair and assembly was an easy process. I got it replaced in 20 minutes. All tools required for this repair we’re included except the heat source (I used a hair dryer). The quality is good. The touch response is not as the genuine part, but still good. For price point, I believe it’s a bit expensive. My phone settings shows now a message of a not genuine display installed. It’s $188, while the original part replacement is $279 from a local shop. The good thing it has a screen protector included in the package. Will keep this review updated with any updates.My boyfriend was able to install this into an iPhone 12 his coworker sold him for cheap , because of the screen being broken.So I decided to get this to see if perhaps he could replace the screen successfully, and I am glad to say that this particular screen replacement does most in deed work just as it should, and he didn’t have much, if any, issue with the installation.He did say that it seemed to be a little less bright, but I’m not fully sure whether that would be worthy of a star removal.I’m glad to be able to recommend this particular brand /manufacturer’s screen replacement, it is legit as in it works.I had no issues getting this installed. I have had no issues on this and it was installed about 2 weeks ago now.I picked this because it was a soft OLED panel, which is the kind of OLED display that Apple uses for the iPhone. Cheaper devices, like the Nintendo Switch OLED model use hard/rigid OLED panels. I accidentally dropped my iPhone 12 Pro at just the right angle in a parking lot, causing the display to go mostly black along the deep crack in the glass exterior. I am really happy to report that this panel is quite good, not quite as good as the one that iPhone 12 Pro ships with, but pretty close. For anyone who doesn't know, you lose the True Tone feature, and your iPhone 12 Pro will display a warning message in the settings app, saying that it can't verify if this is a genuine Apple display. I wish they would give us the option to disable that, especially if you are the original owner. They could just allow the warning to come back after a factory reset (since that is pretty much guaranteed to occur if the phone is sold to another person).The replacement process isn't easy, but it's not super difficult either. It's a lot better than it used to be when you had to transfer over most of the Face ID components from the old screen to the new one. I recommend watching some repair videos (specifically for the iPhone 12 Pro), that will allow you to see the process and make an informed choice about whether or not you feel comfortable performing the repair on your iPhone. Some people are better off getting a professional to do it.Another thing to mention- make sure that you have your own tools, as the ones that are included with this are not very good quality (in my opinion).
