The case protects the phone well and has been proven with an occasional rinse under the sink and fumble to the floor. However, in speakerphone mode the case produces such dramatic echo in the ear of the other party that it’s unusable. However, this isn’t a 70 dollar name brand case where those issues don’t exist. Until it breaks, I’ll keep using it since I mostly use a bluetooth headset for conversations. Next case I’ll look for something else. Your mileage and tolerance may vary. One thing to mention, the knob for switching silent mode on and off for the iphone is a much better implementation than some of the high cost cases.
